Ballymurphy 2 - 3 Vale Wanderers
After a very sluggish start from Ballymurphy Vale Wanderers flew into a two goal lead after 20 mins with two good finishes. The dependable Jack Foley pulled one back for Bally before the break as they started to get a foot hold in the game. HT 1-2.
The second half was all Ballymurphy and attacked in waves forcing numerous corners and free kicks. The breakthrough finally came with 15 mins left when a Joey Dalton free was slid home by Sean Collier, 2-2. Bally should have been awarded a penalty soon after the goal but no decision was given. With 5 minutes to go a rare break from Vale left the Bally defence isolated and the Vale striker made no mistake with a cool finish. Bally had the chance to equalise in the last minute but Lachlann Smith header went over.
A great team performance from Vale with best for Bally were Darragh Coleman, Joey Dalton and James Lawlor
