In a great game,of end to end football,a great hard fought battle, with a grain of rice tipping the scale in burrins favour.
The home side had 5 brilliant chances in a 1st half that Ballymurphy had the upper hand, the burrin keeper being kept busy by some great attacking play by the home side, but burrin stuck at it and were strong in defence, and both teams went in 0-0 at the break.
Bally started the 2nd half the way they ended 1st but against the run of play, burrin took the lead,Bally heads didn’t go down and they persevered with great work from Noah fitzpatrick down the wing and the ball in caused some confusion in burrin defence and the ball came off one of the defenders and past the burrin keeper,1-1,but with 3 mins to go,a Bally side line throw was picked up by the burrin striker, who hit the ball and brought a great save From Callum kelly, but an unrushing burrin striker stuck the rebound in the Bally net,and as Bally tried hard for last few mins for the equilizer,it wasn’t to be,and plenty of broken hearts at the final whistle.
Both teams had great team performances and it would be unfair to single out any players in particular
