Burrin U16 girls meet Killeshin in their first game of the league winning 6-1.

Burrin girls started strong with Leah Fitzpatrick scoring the first goal giving Burrin the lead and within 6 min Burrin was awarded a penalty ,India Mernagh stepped up and scored a cracker of a shot in the bottom left corner giving Burrin a 2-0 lead . Killeshin girls kept

fighting and just before half time they scored their first goal when Katie Kehoe broke through Burrin’s back line and scored a great goal . Just minutes after tip off Leah Fitzpatrick went and scored her 2nd goal for Burrin at the half time whistle the score 3-1 to Burrin girls. The second half started strong again for the Burrin girls and the Killeshin girls never stopped putting the pressure on and with a free kick to Burrin, India Mernagh took a long shot and buried it into the back of Killeshin net giving Burrin a 4-1 lead . Kellie Doyle came on for Burrin and with some lovely passing and scored the 5th goal for Burrin . Sami Salter was having a great game in mid field and scored the 6th goal for Burrin All of the Burrin celtic girls put in a great performance. Killeshin girls never gave up and kept fighting until the end with all of the girls putting on a great performance we would like to wish the well in the League.
