Hanover Harps AFC v Villa (Waterford)
16/11 11:15
Hanover Harps AFC 3 - 4 Villa (Waterford)

Hanover 3 Villa 5

Villa came out on top in this thrilling SFAI Regional cup match in Carlow . Hanover flew out of the blocks and took the lead within 2 minutes when Kialan Brady converted the rebound from a Liam Ryan shot. Hanover continued to pressure the Villa goal and were rewarded when a Cian Gorman Comerford free kick found Liam Ryan who found the net with a peach of a header. Luke Murphy , Brandon Cassidy and Cian Ryan we’re dominating the midfield and Lee Carpenter had 3 good chances to extend Hanover’s lead only for Villas keeper to pull off some fine saves .

After 25 minutes Villa pulled one back and then 5 minutes from half time Conor McCabe got a second from the penalty spot. Hanover responded immediately and Kialan Brady got his second and Hanover’s third to make it 3-2 to Hanover at half time . Villa came out all guns blazing and 10 minutes in equalised after a quick free with Conor McCabe finishing to make it 3-3. At this stage it was end to end with both sides looking fora winner . Villa got an opportunity to take the lead from the penalty spot but Ben McCarron pulled off a fine save.

However there was nothing he could do as Conor McCabe scored a fantastic free kick to put Villa ahead for the first time. Hanover threw everything at Villa but could not find an equaliser and with the last kick of the ball Villa got a goal to finish of a fine performance alwith 5-3 win

Best for Hanover Liam Ryan , Andrew Vint ,Cian Ray and Luke Murphy.

Parkville United AFC 8 - 0 Hanover Harps AFC

Parkville started well with Kristers Laudupa netting the first goal from close range. Parkville continued to press, but Hannover defence and Goalie kept the score as 1-0 for the next 20 mins causing the Parkville attack all kinds of problems and were unlucky not level the score with a few attempts of their own. Markus Ragelis scored the second for Parkville on 22 mins from a scramble in the box. Dean Keogh made it 3 with a strike from outside the 18 yard mark on 28mins.

Second half was much of the same with Hanover pinned in their half. Rian Byrne made it 4 on 32 mins for Parkville, while Dean Keogh grabbed his second on 35. Niall Delaney was rewarded for his excellent performance when he finished from a corner on 38 minutes. Kristers Laudupa bagged his second on 53 while Adam Cleary finished off his fine run from halfway with a calmly slotted bottom corner finish. Burrin Celtic AFC v Bagenalstown AFC
u13 League div 1 16/11 11:30
Burrin Celtic AFC 2 - 3 Bagenalstown AFC
A cold morning here in Ballon but conditions were not too bad for football ,both teams started well and the home side putting the pressure on the Bagenalstown defence, that pressure paid off and Burrin opened the scoring through Billy Flynn. Bagenalstown upped their game and tried to get the equaliser and when Burrin broke up the field and a great shot came back off the cross bar Bagenalstown went straight down and got their equaliser through Kieran Curran on the stroke of half time.1-1.The second half started at a great pace and it was Bagenalstown who had the upper hand and took the lead through James Cushen, Burrin didnt hold back and pressed hard and through some great play they were rewarded when a shot from Aaron Dowling flew into the back of the net, both teams were looking for the winner and played some great football but a mistake in the burrin defence allowed John O Riordan to nip in and score the winner for Bagenalstown and it finished 3-2. Best for Bagenalstown were John Lillis, Filip Kaczmarkiewicz and Alan Wall. Best for Burrin was Aaron Dowling, Dylan Ruane and Davy Francis.

St Fiacc's AFC 5 - 3 Nurney Villa AFC

St. Fiaccs 5 Nurney Villa 3

This was a very even game from start to finish. St. Fiaccs starting the stronger with a number of chances missed in the first 15 minutes. Fiaccs resorted to long range shots but the very reliable Nurney keeper was under no trouble at all. After some more pressure from Fiaccs they broke the deadlock after about 20 mins with a well taken goal from Zak Hernan. After this Nurney came into the game with Ian Craddock running the show in midfield and it wasn’t long before Nurney were level. Nurney then took a deserved 2-1 lead. Nurney still pushed on for more goals but Orla Keating in goal for Fiaccs pulled off some fantastic saves.

JAN Flejszar started to get into the game pushing forward at every chance and was soon rewarded with a great individual goal to make it 2-2. Fiaccs now were hungry for a winner and kept pushing forward with Robbie Roycroft putting in some great crosses. Finally, Ruairi McEvoy Hutton got on one of the crosses to make it 3-2. Nurney were not giving up and tried really hard to get an equalizer but it wasn’t to be as JAN Flejszar added another to make it 4-2. Nurney again pushed forward but could not get one passed Orla Keating who had a fantastic game in the Goal for Fiaccs. JAN Flejszar soon after got his hattrick to make it 5-2. Ian Craddock finished the game off with a brilliant individual goal to make it a final score of 5-3. On the day Fiaccs just marginally deserved the win in what was a very good even game.

Best for Nurney – Kerry Phelan, Denis Nolan & Ian Craddock.

Best for Fiaccs – Orla Keating, Eoghan Kavanagh & Filip Nykiel

Hanover Harps AFC 1 - 2 St Anne's AFC

Under 13 Division 1 - Hanover 1-2 St Anne's.

The away team took the three points on a fresh morning in The Plots. The home team were slow to start and St Anne's were in front in five minutes with Ennae Byrne firing home after a hesitant defence failed to clear their lines. The home team struggled to get a foothold in the game and were fortunate not to be further behind before forcing their first real chance right on half time,Eoin Ryan dragging his shot wide.Half time and 1-0 to the visitors.Hanover improved somewhat in the second half but with most of the action taking place between the two penalty areas, never worked the St Anne's keeper. The away team then saw a shot come off the bar before Hanover drew level.Good work on the right wing saw a cross field ball reach Sean Hayden and he steered it under the keeper as he came off his line. The home team's joy was short lived as within a minute a defensive mix up saw Ennae Byrne claim his second goal with a tap in.Despite a late flurry the away team saw the game out to take the points.Jack Julian, Robbie Murphy and Bryan Byrne were in good form for St Anne's.For a disappointed Hanover,Sam McHugh,Ronan Sullivan and Cody Molloy gave everything.
