A determined Ballymurphy Celtic arrived at the Superbowl tonight with one thing in mind - beating Vale and stayjng in the hunt for the title.
What was happening at The Plots, where anything other than a Hanover win would see New Oak crowned U12 Champions, was out of Bally's control.
But they were very much in control versus Vale.
The opening 10 minutes was even enough with both sides playing some good football, but the desire in Bally started to show and Vale seemed a bit 'leggy'.
Bally struck their first on 13 mins from Shane Jordan.
5 mins later and Joe Walsh had doubled their lead.
And so it remained til Half-time with Vale looking a bit flat and not getting into their passing rhythm.
The second half looked a bit brighter for the home side and they pushed forward, winning a couple of corners. But 12 mins into the second half James Flood and Charlie Foley had doubled the Bally lead to 0-4 and Cian Moylan wrapped things up on 56 mins to make it 0-5.
A disappointing finale to the league season for Vale who now look forward to a Cup Quarter Final on Thursday night vs Hanover.
Best on the night for Vale were Joshua Walsh, Brendan Byrne & Ódhran Noctor who all kept their heads up and gave all they had.
Impressive for Bally were Jack Ivers, Dylan King & James Dalton.
