After a very even start to the game between two very game skilful teams, Ballymurphy worked a great move when joe walsh moved a great ball to the middle and swapped passes with kian moylan who in turn played a lovely through ball to Rory murphy who riffled the ball the the nurney net to give Ballymurphy the lead after 12 mins, the game then settled down and Nurney themselves having some great patterns of play and brought the Bally keep er Callum kelly in to 2 good saves,Bally then broke down the other end of pitch and a handball by one of the unlucky nurney players in the area, and Cian moylan dispatched a great penalty to make it 2-0 to Ballymurphy.

Nurney came out in the 2nd half all guns blazing and put serious pressure on the Ballymurphy defence, with joe walsh, john joyce and Josh solway doing great work to keep nurney at bay.
Against the run of play Ballymurphy in the 15th min of 2nd half broke up the field and the ball fell to the inspirational Cillian doyle to finish to the nurney net, with a great finish.
Nurney were very unlucky at times but Ballymurphy did stay very strong throughout the full 60 mins and after a lovely run down the right by Josh solway to cross to the man we call Michael owen junior, the mighty james Scallan tipped into an empty net,
It was a good sporting game and nurney had a great spirit to keep going and there mentors john joe and james got right behind them, and there stars on the day were Paddy Ranta,Shane Glynn, and Aaron o brien.
