St Anne's AFC 4 - 2 Parkville United AFC

St Anne's were very slow to get off the mark this morning. Parkville seemed to have all the possession and were putting Anne's defence under a lot of pressure. Parkville were playing all the balls down the right wing and over the top to Tawana Mudawapi who had some pace and was causing Anne's a lot of trouble and he got his reward with a great strike into the back of Anne's net. Shortly afterwards Tawana got his second as he chased down the long ball over the top and Anne's keeper tried to clear the ball but bounced off Tawana and ended up in the back of the net. Parkville went 2 nill up. Anne's faught back just before halftime as Parkvilles keeper saved Anne's 1st attempt and the ball landed back at the feet of Thomas Foy who looked like he was going to shout instead played the smart ball through to Will McGrath who put Anne's on the score board.

Halftime 2-1 Parkville. Anne's came out the better side in the second half and started to play the ball down the right wing to Tiarnan O'Donoghue who was causing trouble for Parkvilles defence and got Anne's back level with a great strike. All square 20 minutes to go. Tiarnan shortly afterwards got his second goal and put Anne's in front. Anne's widened their lead with a fourth goal from Will McGrath. Parkville never gave up and a great game was had between the two teams.

Bally turn on the style
U12 Div 1 04/02 13:00
Ballymurphy Celtic 4 - 0 Nurney Villa AFC

After a very even start to the game between two very game skilful teams, Ballymurphy worked a great move when joe walsh moved a great ball to the middle and swapped passes with kian moylan who in turn played a lovely through ball to Rory murphy who riffled the ball the the nurney net to give Ballymurphy the lead after 12 mins, the game then settled down and Nurney themselves having some great patterns of play and brought the Bally keep er Callum kelly in to 2 good saves,Bally then broke down the other end of pitch and a handball by one of the unlucky nurney players in the area, and Cian moylan dispatched a great penalty to make it 2-0 to Ballymurphy.

HT 2-0

Nurney came out in the 2nd half all guns blazing and put serious pressure on the Ballymurphy defence, with joe walsh, john joyce and Josh solway doing great work to keep nurney at bay.

Against the run of play Ballymurphy in the 15th min of 2nd half broke up the field and the ball fell to the inspirational Cillian doyle to finish to the nurney net, with a great finish.

Nurney were very unlucky at times but Ballymurphy did stay very strong throughout the full 60 mins and after a lovely run down the right by Josh solway to cross to the man we call Michael owen junior, the mighty james Scallan tipped into an empty net,

It was a good sporting game and nurney had a great spirit to keep going and there mentors john joe and james got right behind them, and there stars on the day were Paddy Ranta,Shane Glynn, and Aaron o brien.

The Ballymurphy team were supported by powerful perfomences by Ardagh o Shea, Finn Scully,Noah Fitzpatrick and Josh Salway.

New Oak AFC Pink 0 - 2 St Fiacc's AFC

Very exciting first meeting of both these teams this year. Both teams started brightly which had both keepers on their toes during the first half. the first half ended all even going in.

The second half again didn't fail to disappoint as both teams worked hard in the middle of the park which finally seen Fiaccs break the deadlock in the 60th minute. New Oak battled hard but could not find the back of the net with the Fiaccs keeper in fine form today.

Fiaccs went on to score their second with two minutes to go to finish the day.

Hanover Harps AFC 2 - 2 Killeshin AFC

On a lovely fresh morning in The Plots, Hanover Harps met Killeshin for an amazing game of soccer that made sure both sides were wide awake. It was Killeshin who dominated play in the first half with the Hanover defenders and goal keeper working very hard to keep shots off target. However, just before the half time whistle Killeshin broke through and scored a beautiful goal . 1-0 to Killeshin at half time.

In the second half it was Hanover that came out stronger and piling on the pressure. Lots of shots taken by both teams, it was 10 minutes into the second half seen Killeshin get one of those shots on target making the score 2-0. After a slight fumble on the goal line from Killeshin only one minute later, Hanover were back in the game 2-1. Neither team giving up, it was game on. Vale Wanderers AFC v Kilree Celtic
Exciting game ends in a draw
U12 Div 3 04/02 11:45
Vale Wanderers AFC 2 - 2 Kilree Celtic

It was a great game between two teams in the top half of the table. Kilree got off to a good start with some chances and some good defending from the vale defence kept them out . Vale started to come into the game and had there chances but failed to convert their opportunities. Just before the half Kilree got a chance and Siaad Akmed shot to the top corner leaving Fionn Clarke Brennan in the Vale goal no chance .

Kilree started the second half well and looked the more likely and they got there second with Paul Gladney finishing a good move down the right side . Vale never gave up and continued to create some great chances . They got there just reward when and good move with Conor Corcoran and Frankie Doyle linking up well and Frankies cross found it’s way to the net . Vale started to believe the game was there for them and equalised when Frankie Doyle’s shot from distance found the back of the net . It was a tense last ten minutes when the home team created some chances but the Kilree defence stood strong.

Best for Kilree : Arron Mcassy , Dylan Egan and Fiach O Rourke

Best for Vale : Adam Keating , Breda Rochford and Frankie Doyle
