Bagenalstown AFC welcomed St Patrick's Boys AFC to the McGrath Park this afternoon. Both sides started of well. A couple of minutes into the match Kelan O'Sullivan scored his first goal of the match for Bagenalstown AFC. Bagenalstown AFC settled into the game quickly with Kelan O'Sullivan, John Lillis, James Brennan and Paul Carroll taking control of the mid field and forward line putting pressure on St Patrick's Boys AFC defenders. James Brennan eventually made it through and put the ball in the net putting Bagenalstown AFC 2 nil up. St Patrick's Boys AFC tried their best to make it through but Bagenalstown AFC's Niall Power, David Reddy and Matthew Stratton were very disciplined in their defence to keep St Patrick's Boys AFC at bay. Burrin could have put the game to bed in the first half but could not take the chances that came our way. The first goal was an exceptionally worked goal from the goalie Aiden O Brien as he played it out from the back and some great passes to Tadgh Campbell who crossed it, and Bobby Finn with an exceptional header to make it 1-0. Burrin missed some great chances but still played very well. Bagnelstown defended well and got their goals on the break. Burrin got the score line back to 3-2 when Robbie Kelliher scored but it was too late. Final score 2-3

Ballymurphy traveled to Bagenalstown on a bright cool morning and started the game very strongly pinning back the Bagenalstown defence early in the game and testing Kyle Clarke in the goal a couple of times

The home team started to get a foothold in the game and started to push forward and create chances of their own and in the 19th minute James Cushion took his chance well and the town go 1 up. In the 22nd minute they doubled their leads after Jack Kehoe was brought down and he converted the penalty himself.

Until halftime both sides shared possession and they they both created a couple of chances each.

Bagenalstown started the second half strongly but were unable to get past the Ballymurphy defence. Ballymurphy won a couple of free kicks in dangerous position but were unable to capitalise on them.

In the 50th minute Jack Kehoe got his second of the game with after some great running from Adam Walsh who passed the ball for Jack to concert. 3 minutes later Bagenalstown get their 4th through Ian Craddock, once again the assist from Adam Walsh. In the 57th minute Bagenalstown got their 5th through John Lillis.

Bagenalstown continued to push forward but the game finished a convincing home win.

Hanover Harps met a very physical Bagenalstown team today in The Plots. It was a very even match for the first 10 minutes untill Alex Broderick broke away and scored Hanovers first cracker of a goal. The Bagenalstown backs defended well untill Timmy Adeleye crossed a great ball into Brian Louw who finished it beautifully into the back of the net. Bagenalstown upped their game in the second half and got back into the game with a penalty scored by Alex Doyle. Still a very even game throughout with both teams not taking their chances untill Bagenalstown got a free kick just outside the box and scored the equaliser.

A brilliant game in difficult conditions this morning in Ballymurphy.

Bagenalstown took the lead on 5 mins through Kiran Cummins and the town added a second on 20 mins through John Lillis. Bally finally woke up and Jack Joyce got 1st goal after 20 mins with a good finish. 1 - 2 at HT

Into the second half and on 49 the Bagenalstown goalie conceded a penalty after fouling Jack Joyce. Jack took penalty and levelled the game up Bagenalstown got their 3rd after 55 mins through Adam Wall but Eoin Doyle levelled proceedings again 2 mins later. Jack Joyce scored is hatrick and Ballymurphys 4th on 75 mins but Bagenalstown scored a late equaliser in thr last minute when Ian Craddock kept his cool.

Best for Ballymurphy were Jack Joyce, Noel Jordan and Callum Jordan. Played well for Bagenalstowns Kyle Clarke and Frank Cushen stood out.

Very windy day in Crettyard with both defences doing well in the opening exchanges but it was Bagnalstown opened the scoring from a cornerin th 20th minute. Cretty had a couple of chances but couldnothit the target. Cretty conceded a soft second goal just before half time. Cretty played much better in the second half and had Bagnalstown under pressure and were awarded a penalty which Blake Rice scored. For the next 10 minutes Crettyard piled on the pressure but could not get past the Bagnalstown defence and a break from Bagnalstown and Ian Cradock made it 3 1.Crettyard pushed for the last minutes to try and catch them but conceded two instead from John Lillis and Adam walsh Best for Bagnalstown was Kyle Clark and Jack Kehoe. Best for cretty was Scott Delaney Bobby Rowan and Blake Rice.

Bagenalstown welcomed hannover to the macgrath Park on Saturday morning, and it was the visitors who got off to the better start going 1 up after capitalising on some indecision in the town defence, bagenalstown battled hard and were rewarded with an equaliser with a fine finish from jake slavateski after a great run from Dylan Kearney, hannover got back on top and took the lead again before half time. The second half seen some great battling from both teams and proved a very exciting affair, with bagenalstown getting a deserved equaliser with a fine finish from Alex Doyle, the game finished 2-2 with the points shared, best for bagenalstown were David Roche, Kyle o brien and Dylan Kearney, best for hannover were callum o brien and Alex broderick

On a sunny, cold and breezy morning at the Valley in Ballon, Bagenalstown started very strong and made some good attacking runs on the right wing. Burrin Celtic responded and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions, the Bagenalstown goalkeeper making two great saves.

Jorge Lara broke the deadlock, scoring just before half time with a header at close range. The second half started lively with a well taken goal by Freddie Gibson. Jorge Lara scored twice more in quick succession to seal the hat trick. Both teams made some very good passages of play before Freddie Gibson broke free to score a second. Just before the final whistle Burrin Celtic were awarded a penalty and James Bergin scored from the rebound after the Bagenalstown goalkeeper made a fine save.

Best for Burrin Celtic were Jorge Lara, Freddie GIbson and Luke Ruddock.

Best for Bagenalstown were Keelan O'Sullivan and Paul Carroll

Bagenalstown hosted Dean Celtic in the 3rd of the SFAI Cup on a lovely bright morning.

From the tip off Bagenalstown were pressing every ball and winning possession and pushing forward. They were looking for an early break through and it came after 10 minutes with some great running up the right wing from James Brennan who pulled a ball across the box which was put away powerfully by Ian Craddock.

Dean Celtic started to come into the game more and more but some great defending and good offside traps by the back four of Luke McGrath, Filip Kaczmarkiewicz, Alan Wall and Eric Williams kept Bagenalstowns lead.

Bagenalstown were looking for the 2nd and pushed forward with ever opportunity and in the 27th minute they won a penalty after after Adam Walsh was brought down and John Lillis stepped up and up the keeper the wrong way. As halftime approached Bagenalstown pressed on with Daniel Whelan running at the Dean Celtic defence but some last ditch defending kept the score 2-0 at halftime.

The home teams objective was to manage the game now and maintain their lead. Dean Celtic pushed on with the wind in their backs and tested Kyle Clarke in the Bagenalstown goal a few times but he was well up to the task. Bagenalstown took control of the midfield with strong play from Ian Craddock, Jack Keogh and James Cushion supplying some good ball into John O'Reirdon

Bagenalstown were on the hunt for the 3rd and with 8 minutes to go Adam Walsh got first to a lose ball to put it away and game over at 3-0. Bagenalstown brought on Samuel Griffith and Paddy O'Neill to see the last few minutes out.

A very fair game with both sides there to play football and not one yellow card was issued.

Town welcomed Burrin celtic to Mcgrath park on Saturday morning for this u13 division 1 game

Town started the better and created some early chances before Alex Doyle broke the deadlock with a good finish on 10 minutes... shortly after Rian Cummins doubled the lead with a neat finish.. to there credit Burrin found there feet playing some good football in the process and began to look dangerous going forward, just on half time Town hit for a killer 3rd goal from Dylan Kearney after a through ball from Alex Doyle..

2nd half Burrin started the better and pulled a goal back with a great finish...

This woke the home side up with Dylan Kearney having a big influence and together with Alex Doyle they put the game to bed with 3 more goals between them..

Burrin never gave up and deservedly pulled another goal back at the death...

For the town in an all round good team performance Kyle o Brien, Rian Cummins, Dylan Kearney and Alex Doyle stood out.

Bagenalstown hosted St Anne's on a cold bright dry morning. A bright start from both with both having even possession and some good defending from both sides. As the half went on St Anne's probably just shaded it with the advantage of a strong wind in their backs. St Anne's got a couple of free kicked in dangerous areas but never tested Kyle Clarke in the Bagenalstown goal. James Cushion and Adam Walsh both worked the wings well for Bagenalstown putting balls through to Daniel Whelan but strong defending from St Anne's kept him out. The sides went in 0-0 at half time.

Bagenalstown started stronger in the second half and started to push forward with the midfield of of Ian Craddock, John Lillis and Jack Kehoe but the strong defending of St Anne's managed to keep them at bay.

With 15 Minutes to go St Anne's were awarded a penalty for a foul just inside the box and it was put away by Niall Hickey. Bagenalstown had to throw everything at them for the last 15 minutes and they did with several attacks. It wasn't until 5 minutes remaining that they got their reward and after a goal mouth scramble Daniel Whelan managed to get it past the at St Anne's Keeper.

St Anne's tried to get the winner but the back four for Bagenalstown held strong for a 1-1 draw.

Vale Wanderers AFC levelled the game putting the score 1-1. Paul Carroll put Bagenalstown AFC ahead with a cracker of a goal.. Vale Wanderers AFC fought back and scored putting the score 2-2.. from a corner Bagenalstown AFC Danny Travers put the ball in the back of the net putting his team ahead.. Both teams fought hard but eventually Paul Carrooll scored his second goal of the game putting Bagenaltown AFC 4 Vale Wanderers AFC 2.. late into the game Bagenalstown AFC gave away a penalty to their opponents with and despite great efforts from the goalkeeper Dean O'Sullican the ball went into the back of the net. Bagenalstown hosted Hanover Harps on a lovely autumn morning. An even start from both sides with Hanover just shading possession and after 10 minutes Dermot Lawor put Hanover 1 up and soon after they were 2 up with a headed goal from Utura Fernandez after 20 minutes.

Bagenalstown seemed to wake up and realized they were in a game and in the 15 spell until half time they were the better side working hard, and had lots of possession but without testing the Hanover keeper.

Bagenalstown came out of the blocks strong in the second half after moving James Brennan up front who ran at the Hanover defense and looking dangerous every time he got the ball. Bagenalstown got the reward with a goal after Adam Walsh put a ball across the box and Eric Williams came across from the left side to put the ball firmly in the net. Game on now 1-2

Good midfield work from Jack Kehoe, Ian Craddock and John Lillis gave James Brennan plenty of the ball and James was awarded a penalty after being brought down after taking on the Hanover defense. Adam Walsh steps up and strikes the ball low into the bottom left hand corner, 2-2 with 8 minutes to go.

Hanover tried to push on but good defending from Luke McGrath, Filip Kaczmarkiewicz, Alan Wall, Paddy O'Neill and keeper Dan Whelan.

With 2 minutes to go Bagenalstown win a corner and Adam Walsh puts an inswing ball in on top of the Hanover keeper who put the ball into his own net

For the last couple of minutes Bagenalstown defended with the lives to hold out for a great 3-2 win

Bohemians FC were the dominant side for the first 10 minutes of the game but David Reddy, Oran Doyle, Sean Dillon, Kelan O'Sullivan and Aodhan Hickey defended well keeping their opponents at bay.. Both teams battled hard to try put themselves ahead with Bagenalstowns Niall power feeding balls to Rory O'Brien in the forwards but the Bohemians FC's defence kept any attacks at bay. Score at half time Bagenalstown AFC 0 Bohemians FC 0.. Both teams battled back an forth for the first half of the second half with James Brennan from Bagenalstown AFC showing some nice goalkeeping skills.. Bohemians FC kept their momentum and half way through the second half scored a cracker of a goal putting their team in the lead.. With about 10 mins to go Bohemians FC were awarded a penalty despite James Brennans best effort the ball went into the back of the net. Bagenalstown AFC battled hard for the remainder of the game with Paul Carroll making some fantastic runs but they were kept at bay. Score at the final whistle Bagenalstown AFC 0 Bohemians FC 2. Both teams played exceptional and it was a great game to watch.

Hanover welcomed Bagenalstown to The Plots on an early morning kick off. Both teams started strong with chances from both ends. Some great soccer been played and on the 25th minute the dead lock opened when a cross from Gael O Rock found the left boot of TJ Brennan and he made no mistake and slotted home to make it 1-0.

Straight from tip off Bagenalstown no 11 Paul Carroll made a run up right wing and shot but keeper Conor McDaid was down low to gather the ball. Conor McDaid from a quick kick out found Leon Fitzgerald who made a run up the centre and slotted home to make it 2-0. Which saw the ref blow for halftime.

Second half started much the same with both teams playing great soccer with Bagenalstown putting all the pressure on the Hanover defence who stood strong to keep Bagenalstown at bay. The game seemed to fade out as both team never let off the pressure when Gael O Rock shot from the 18 yard line but his shot hit the crossbar. Shortly afterwards Bagenalstown applied more pressure when Rory O Brien had a shot but was saved well by keeper Conor McDaid.
