Burrin Celtic AFC 8 - 1 St Patrick's Boys AFC
It was a very wet, damp morning and conditions were very tough for both sides. Both teams started well, but it was Burrin who found their stride that bit quicker and scored the opening goal. Pats defended well but some good play from Burrin put their defence under huge pressure and they conceded another goal. At the half-time whistle Burrin were ahead 4-0. The second half started off much the same as the first with Burrin scoring the opening goal of the second half. The conditions were very poor but St. Pats pressed hard to get themselves on the score sheet and with ten minutes to go they did so but Burrin had the final say and it finished 8-1 to the homeside. A great effort was put in from both teams.

Gorey Rangers 3 - 4 Burrin Celtic AFC
Gorey Rangers started the brighter and took an early lead Luke Christie finding the bottom corner of the Celtic net. They doubled their lead when a through pass found Christie and he doubled the Rangers scoreline. Burrin were slowly working their way back into the game when a well taken corner was met by Adam Byrne who headed past the Celtic keeper. At 3-0 down Burrin looked like they were in for a long afternoon but a brilliant save by Daniel Bolger in the Celtic goal followed by a trademark Brian Maher strike turned the tide in Burrins favor. After some great work by Frankie Fitzgearld, Jamie Maher slotted home to make it 3-2. Burrin were well on top limiting Rangers to the odd foray but Celtic`s backline would not be breached and when Fitzgearld sent the Gorey keeper the wrong way to slot home the third the game was set for a grandstand finish. Dylan Cunningham with a clever pass set up Brian Maher and his shot found the back of the Gorey net to win the game for Burrin. Best for Rangers Luke Christie and Tiernan Myler, while Celtic`s best players were Ben O`Gorman, Miguel Gil and Ian Fleming.

Burrin Celtic won convincingly at home against league leaders Hanover Harps in windy conditions at The Valley. Hanover faced an uphill struggle in the second half but to their credit they pressurised Celtic’s defence throughout.
