Match report
U12 League 30/01 11:00
Crettyard United AFC 1 - 0 Bagenalstown AFC

Crettyard 1-0 Bagenalstown

The home side got a late winner to take all three points in an excellent game. The first half saw Crettyard have the more possession but it was Bagenalstown who had the best chance when a shot was driven across the face of the United goal. Crettyard had seven first half corners but they couldn't break down a superb Bagenalstown defence.

The second half was very similar with Crettyard dominating but once again Bagenalstown defended in excellent fashion. Riain Cullen and Jonah Kelly went close for Crettyard but Bagenalstown had the best chance of the game when a shot struck the post and the rebound was cleared off the line. When a draw seemed the most fair and likely outcome, Crettyard stole the victory in the dying moments when a cross was deflected home by an unfortunate Bagenalstown defender.

Best for Crettyard were Jamie Conway, Riain Cullen and Luke Bailey while Bagenalstown gave a superb team performance which deserved at least a point.

Parkville vs. Crettyard
U12 League 16/01 11:00
Parkville United AFC 0 - 0 Crettyard United AFC

For the second week in a row, Parkville U12 found themselves up against very tough, well disciplined opposition. Crettyard came to Tullow looking for a win and chased the game from the kick off. Parkville defended well through out with all players working hard, tracking back to pick up runners and playing their part, lead by Adam Johnson at the heart of the Parkville defence.

Crettyard had good spells of dominance in the mid field, lead by Darragh Kealy creating chances for Riain Cullen up front who kept the Parkville defence on their toes for the game. Parkville looked most likely to score when they passed the ball through the middle and out to the wings, bringing danger men Oisin Doyle and Cian Doran into the game. The best chances of the game came when Crettyard got behind the Parkville defence but could not beat the last line of Parkville's defence, Patrick Doyle in Goal. Oisin Doyle hit the cross bar for Parkville and a glancing header from Eoin Dempsey was tipped around the post by Sean Moffat who had a great game in the Crettyard goal.

So the game finished 0:0 a fair result on the day. Well done to all involved on this excellent example of school boy soccer.
