A cold morning in the meadows hosted a exciting game of football.

St. Pat's started off well with Oisin Daly scoring in the first minute. Killeshin were stunned but recomposed them selves until the 20 minute mark when Oisin Daly got his second after a goal line scramble. Two further goals were rules off side before the end of an eventful half.

Half time 2-0

15 minutes into the second half Sean Murphy was played through on goal and finished it nicely into the corner. Soon after Sean Walsh curled the ball into the top corner from 30 yards out to make it 4. It was a world class goal and one which no goal keeper would ever be able to save. After 30 minutes Eric Reynez smashed the ball into the roof of the net to make it 5-0. Ruarc Murray added another goal after 37 minutes to finish off a great win for St.Pats

Killeshin had a great team effort and were unlucky not to get a goal.

For St. Patrick's Boys AFC it was an exceptionally performance from all 17 players.

Ballymurphy Celtic 1 - 4 Killeshin AFC

Ballymurphy 1 - 4 Killeshin FC

A very harsh scoreline on the home side who were well in this game until the final ten minutes.

Bally had the first chance when a Noah Fitzpatrick free kick was nearly turned home by James Scallan on ten mins. Killeshin then made it 1 nil on 14 mins and followed up with a second on 23 mins. Ballymurphy pulled one back just before the break when Noah Fitzpatrick was fouled in the box and rifled home the resulting penalty from the spot. HT 1-2

Into the second half and Killeshin were awarded an early penalty but Ballymurphys net minder Callum Kelly stood tall and saved the spot kick. Ballymurphy dominated proceedings for a long period after this but just couldn't score.. Faye Doyle was denied with a goal line clearance while Conor Walshs shot was blocked with a last gasp tackle on 52 mins..then on 56 Killeshin caught them on the break and made it 3-1 and added a fourth with the last kick.

Best for Bally were Joshua Salway, Sean Dalton and John Joyce

For Killeshin Fiach Gaffney, Mylo Doran and Oisin Wall stood out

Parkville United AFC Red 2 - 0 Killeshin AFC

There was a top of the table clash in Hawkins Lane this afternoon, and it did not disappoint!

Parkville 2: Killeshin 0

Parkville got off to a good start with chances coming from Oisin Wall and Paidi Connolly. Killeshin came into it midway through the half with some good chances of their own only for Tymek Plonka in the Parkville goal making some find saves.

The breakthrough came in the 15th minute when Paidi Connolly got on the end of a corner from Oisin Wall. It was all Parkville after that with chances from Oisin Wall and Max O'Donoghue hitting the woodwork and Paidi Connollys set up by Jordie Coughlan just hit wide.

The second half started much the same. Some good play between Keelan Bolger and Dara Murphy to set up Oisin Wall again just

hitting it wide. Paidi Connolly running the show in the midfield for much of the second half but Killeshin kept attaching and midway through the second half had two great chances, kept out by some unbelievable saves from Bradley Stynes in the Parkville goal and the strong back line of Noel Butler Bobby Cullin and Johnny Kelly. With only minutes left Paidi Connolly picked up the ball in the midfield and put Oisin Wall through for a well taken and much deserved top corner shot.

A superb team performance from the entire Parkville team đź‘Ź

The home side secured the points in an entertaining game which saw some cracking goals. Nurney hit the front early when the impressive Ben Kelly opened the scoring early in the half. The home side build on this and Liam Murphy cracked a 2nd in before half time to leave it 2 0 at the break. Killeshin continued to press hard and only for some good saves by Eoghan Murphy, they would have found the net. Indeed both net minders were excellent throughout and the visitors goalie was certainly a contender for man of the match with a string of fine saves and to top it off, a fantastic free kick goal - not content with being a sweeper keeper!. This goal came after Conor Phelan had wrapped up the points with nurneys 3rd goal. The home side saw out the game and Jim Hughes pounced on a loose ball in the area to make the score 4 1 at the final whistle.

St.Joseph’s took the lead inside first 5 mins.

St.Joseph’s went 2-0 up after 15 mins.

Killishin stayed in the game and had a couple of great chances and just before half time Kian McNamara went on a great run took it around the keeper and scored into an empty net.

2nd half Killishen came out by far the better team and had most of the ball. St. Joseph’s scored against the run of play.

The lads kept the head and got a goal back when Ciara Hilton went on a great run and the ball fell to Cole inside the box and he finished brilliantly. Killishin we’re still on top and we’re unlucky not to score a few times , Troy hit the post from a corner. Ciara then had a free kick 30 yards out and the keeper spilled it into the net, great strike by Ciara.

Fair result in the end has the two teams were excellent.

Parkville United AFC 3 - 2 Killeshin AFC

A classic game of two halves in a cold and windy Hawkins Lane this morning with the home team just shading it. Killeshin started strongly and went ahead after seven minutes when Parkville failed to deal with a corner and no 9 James Mcgann finished to the net. The away side were 2 up half way through the half thanks to a brilliant strike from no 8 Ciara Milton. Parkville had a few chances which went wide and it was 2 nil at the break. The home team got a breakthrough just after half time when they were awarded a penalty and Luke Mcgrath stuck it away. Parkville pushed on after that and were soon level thanks to a great strike from Luke Mcgrath. With the aid of the wind the home team kept up the pressure but Killeshin seemed to have weathered the storm when with time almost up Maria Healey scored a volley to put the Tullow team in front. However there was more late drama when Killeshin were awarded a penalty but the kick went just wide and the home side held on to win. A great team display by Killeshin with Cara English outstanding. Best for Parkville were Tawana Mudwapi, Theo Mcdonald and Cormac Clifford.

Burrin Celtic's Johnny Maher passed a brilliant play into Aaron Dowling who scored Burrin Celtic's 1st goal.

A few minutes after another great ball from Burrin's Johnny Maher into Michael Brophy who turned and scored Burrin Celtic's 2nd goal.

Ballymurphy 5 - 4 Killeshin FC

A nine goal thriller ended with Ballymurphy coming out on top in the end having been 4-3 down with 15 mins left on the clock.

Killeshin stormed into a two goal lead through Michael Dooley and Sean Dowling and it seemed another bad bay at the office was coming for the Bally boys but they stuck to the task and fought their way back into the game through Jack Foley's goal on 19 and then Foley converted a penalty to draw the teams level. Killeshin picked it up again before the break and lead through Patrick Fitzgeraldat HT 3 - 2.

Bally drew level gain ealy in the new half through Lachlinn Smith but Killeshin again through a super Free Kick from Dooley again made it 4-3 with 15 mins to go and looked as if they would pull away. However Bally were not finished yet and an own goal brought them level again before Joey Dalton grabbed the winner in the dying minutes to send the bally supporters into raptures.

Killeshin had a great team performance especially goal keeper Ben Fitzgerald who stood out.

Best for Bally were Eoin Doyle, Jack Foley and Lachlann Smith

Killeshin AFC 1 - 2 St Patrick's Boys AFC
Quaker's field was the venue at Killeshin and after a comprehensible defeat to Baltinglass in last week's qualifier at Parkmore St Pats Boys were well up for the challenge. Killeshin opened the scoring with a fine goal in the first half which saw end to end chances go amiss but fine midfield performances by Jonah Brennan Brandon and Jamie Dean and with Summer Doorley in full control of the centre the introduction of Evans Azeta Maksym, Gorczyca Joey Doorley added strength to the centre field, but in the second half a shift down the right flank saw Brandon Dean hit a fine cross to find Leon Doyle hitting the net yet again adding to his tally but it wasn't until deep into the second half when a direct free kick was perfectly struck by Thomas Lawler saw the back of the net. Defensive performances once again proved decisive in Man of the Match performance by Darragh McEvoy with Fionn McGrath, Thomas Lawler and Ryan Doody and a really top class performance by Goalkeeper Nicko Sabando closing out any threats from Killeshin. St Pats went on to take the spoils winning 2-1.
