Both teams had to settle for a point after this wonderful game of football. Parkville started the game strong and dominated possession but were unable to break down a stubborn New Oak defence. New Oak were restricted to playing on the break and but for some great goalkeeping by Paddy Doyle would have led at the break.

The second half was more evenly contested with both teams creating some good chances. At the midway point of the half Pa Kavanagh found himself through on goal and he gave New Oak the lead. It was end to end stuff now and with five minutes left Oisin Doyle levelled the game with a fine strike.

Nurney Villa AFC v Parkville United AFC
U14 League 20/02 11:30
Nurney Villa AFC 2 - 4 Parkville United AFC

A depleted Nurney Villa side featuring three U12 playersand aided by a strong wind, put in a great first-half team performance against Parkville Utd. Nurney took the lead after 5 minutes, when Padraig Nolan lobbed the Parkville keeper, after latching on to a ball that was only half cleared from a corner, to put them 1-0 up. Nurney created a number of other chances through Brooklyn Dermody, Eamonn Normanly and a Padraig Nolan free-kick, but some fine saves were made by Parkville's keeper. Parkville's Brian Byrne out-paced the Nurney defence, but Donnacha Murphy made a fine save with his knees and half-time came with a 1-0 score line.

Nurney had the slope but the wind got stronger and Parkville started to come into their own and put great pressure on Nurney, but after a brilliant solo run, Brooklyn Dermody fired a low shot into the corner of the net for 2-0 and it looked like an upset was on the cards.

Brian Byrne then got through again and coolly finished for 2-1 and then Donnacha Murphy pulled a great double save to keep Parkville out, but the pressure was starting to tell on Nurney.

Brian Byrne was played through again and from a tight angle he fired home with his left foot for 2-2, which on the balance of play was deserved.

A fine shot from outside the area was palmed out by Donnacha Murphy and was slid home by Kian Byrne for 2-3, as Parkville took the lead for the first time.

Parkville's Dylan Honley hit in a high ball which deceived Donnacha Murphy for 2-4 and the game ended with both sides deserving of praise for their titanic efforts.

Best in a hard-working Nurney team performance were Pat Kavanagh, Brooklyn Dermody and Padraig Nolan, whilst standing out for Parkville were the scorers, Kian Byrne, Brian Byrne and Dylan Honley.

Parkville United AFC v St Fiacc's AFC
U12 League 20/02 11:15
Parkville United AFC 1 - 1 St Fiacc's AFC

Both teams gave all they had in this very tight contest on a very heavy pitch. This contest had lots of attacking football, with each team having a lot of possession in the oppositions half but for the most part were frustrated by excellent defensive work lead by Adam Johnson on the Parkville team and Conor Harte for St. Fiaccs. Both goals came in the first half and were very similar. Parkville struck first when Cillian Walsh placed an excellent through ball at the feet of Eoin Dempsey who took a few touches before driving the ball with his left foot across the keeper to find the corner. Not to be outdone, St. Fiacc's created a similar chance for Jack Byrne who also controlled well and drove the ball low across the keeper to find the bottom corner.

And that is how the game finished 1:1. The second half saw lots of good attacking play, building on excellent performances by John O'Shea and Aaron Dorgan for St. Fiaccs and Cillian Walsh and Oisin Doyle for Parkville.

Scorers: Eoin Dempsey (Parkville), Jack Byrne (St. Fiaccs)

Parkville United AFC 1 - 1 Hanover Harps AFC Red

This top of the table clash lived up to expectation with both teams contesting every ball in an attempt to get the upper hand. Parkville tried hard to get on top and made attack after attack but an excellent Hanover defence led by Harry Lloyd keep Parkville at bay. It was Hanover who made the first breakthrough when an attack down the left hand side opened an opportunity for Aaron Bowden to get a shot in. Patrick Doyle in the Parkville goal made one of his many excellent saves of the day but the ball came off a Parkville defender and found its way into the back of the net. So Hanover took the lead just before half time.

The second half was as exciting as the first with both teams creating chance after chance. The breakthrough came for Parkville when a low clearance from Eoin Dempsey found Tadhg Foley who fired low to the Keepers left from distance to score and tie the game.

So that is how it finished Parkville 1: Hanover red 1. Other players of note were Ronan Quinklan at left back for Hanover and Cillian Mcgrath in the mid field.

Best for Parkville were Patrick Doyle, Cillian Walsh, Oisin Doyle and Eoin Dempsey.

Conditions were not favourable for this fixture and both teams struggled to get to grips with the strong wind. Hanover made it hard for Parkville from the kick off and kept them confined to their own half of the pitch for much of the 1st half. They added a 2nd again by Ryan Kennealy on 15mins and dominated the rest of the 1st half adding a 3rd goal again by in form Ryan Kennealy.

Parkville fought back early on in the 2nd half and got on the scoreboard with a well taken strike from Eoghann Cunnane. Hanover however bit back with their 4th goal again by man of the match Ryan Kennealy ,only to conceed a penalty which was put home again by Eoghann Cunnane. Final score Parkville 2 Hanover Harps 4.
