What a fantastic game of football played by both teams this morning in Hawkins Lane.

It was New Oak who was first on the score sheet with a fantastic header by an unmarked Joshua Walsh into the top corner of the Parkville net.

The game was 0-1 at the halfway mark with both teams equally matched.

Both teams found the net in the second half with Parkville's Páidí Connolly scoring an outstanding goal and New Oak's Keelan Brennan adding a further goal to his collection this season.

Just before the final whistle blew New Oak added a third goal by Fiach Donnelly and taking a well deserved win today

Close faught game between two good side. 0-0 at have time with parkville on top with a strong wind.

St Pats improved in the second half but parkville were still the better side and scoring 2 brilliant goals.

Early in the second half Parkville broke the deadlock with some good play down the right-hand side. A series of quick passes between Kacper Futoma, Charlie Goss and Joe Leacy set up Daniel Malinowski who released an unstoppable shot to make it one nil. Within ten minutes Parkville struck again. Jack O Connor and Liam Brennan worked the ball out from the back before it was picked up by Oran Alcock out wide on the lef. He beat the defender and burst into the penalty area before firing a shot to the back of the St Pats net, giving the keeper no chance. St Pats came back into the game and threatened a number of times however the Parkville keeper, Cillian Maxwell, was equal to the task pulling off a number of fine saves.

Parkville travelled to St Pats on this windy Saturday afternoon.

The game was only on for 90 seconds when Marcin Pawlak set up Jamie Deane to head home to make it 1-0. Five mins later Marcin Pawlak made it 2-0 with a fine goal. Jamie Deane then headed his second goal of the game take it 3-0. Soon after Micky Hand made it 4-0 when he headed in a corner off a defender. Thomas Lawler then scored a great free kick to make it 5-0. Soon after Marcin Pawlak got his second to make it 6-0 at the break.

After the break St Pats scored again and it was Marcin Pawlak who got his hatrick with a fine effort . Jamie Deane then got his hatrick when he met a fine cross from Pawlak to make it 8-0.

Parkville scored with the final kick of the game when Tadgh Nolan scored a fine goal.

Best for St Pats were Liam Moran, Ryan Doody Darragh McEvoy & Thomas Lawler. Best for Parkville were Tadgh Nolan,Phoenix Mullins & Maria Healy.

St.Anne’s started strong with Mark Hickey controlling center midfield, great work on 5 minutes from Cillian Dobbyn earned a throw which was deflected in from Myles Nelligan to make it 1-0 St.Anne’s. 5 minutes later Arron Kaye was fouled 30 yards out and Myles Nelligan found the net with his second goal of the game. St.Anne’s kept the pressure on and again Myles Nelligan put in a wonderful cross and Jamie Reardon headed brilliantly into the net. 3-0 half time. Second half the game hit a null and the visitor’s got 1 back. 10 minutes remaining and Jake Brophy hit a 30 yard shot into the back of the net. Finished 4-1. Best for St.Anne’s was both center halves Jake Brophy and Robert Brennan, Mark Hickey and the league’s top scorer Myles Nelligan. Great controlled game from start to finish from St.Anne’s.

Nurney Villa vs Parkville United u12 league division 1

Parkville came out on top in this competitive affair with Nurney in this division 1 under 12 league match.

Both sides were glad to have a game after the recent weather postponements.

Parkville started well with some good pressure on the Nurney goal.

Good defending by Nurney’s Andy Farrellń kept them at bay.

Nurney defended and passed well but didn’t put pressure on the Parkville goal.

Mid way through the first half Jack O Connor from Parkville picked up possession in defence and played a quick ball out to Tadhg Dempsey on the wing.

Dempsey split the Nurney defence with a weighted pass to Joe Leacy who finished neatly.

Half time was a welcome break for both teams.

Nurney pushed on at the start of the second half but the Parkville defense was solid.

Ben maher hit the Parkville post after some good Nurney play.

Parkville then struck again.

Liam Brennan whipped a ball into the Nurney penalty area for Jack O Connor to head the ball past Liam Nolan in the Nurney goal.

Nurney pressed hard to find a way back into the game but some resolute defending by Parkville, who were well marshalled by Jake Leacy at the back, saw them hold out for a 2 – 0 victory.

Best for Parkville were Jake Leacy, Jack O’Connor, and Tadhg Dempsey. Best for Nurney were Aaron O’Brien, Shane Glynn, Andy Farrell and Liam Nolan.

On a fresh November morning Hanover met Parkville in The Plots for a fiercely contested game with both teams being very evenly matched with Parkville looking the more likely to score from the early exchanges. However, it was Hanover that took that chance and the lead with a fantastic goal from Evan McGrath in the 20th minute. With all still to play for, both teams were playing attacking style football with Hanover scoring a great goal on the counter attack by Owen Fitzharris. Minutes later, Parkville replied with a goal of their own from Adrian Plonta.

Half time 2-1 to Hanover.

The second half was much the same as the first with both teams attacking and defending well but again it was Hanover that made the break and scored an amazing goal by Nathan Hing straight into the back of the net in the 62nd minute. Not long after, Evan McGrath scored his second goal of the game for Hanover from a perfectly placed corner.

Final score 4-1 to Hanover.

Hawkins lane was the venue for Parkville vs St Josephs today. St Josephs started the better team with a lot of possession around the midfield. Their possession nearly paid off in the 15min when good play down Parkvilles left flank resulted in them shooting inches wide. That woke Parkville up an for the remainder of the half it was all Parkville with chances coming from Joe Smithers ,Ryan Jennings and Oliwia Zaborniak going close.

The 2nd half continued with Parkville dominating the ball and more pressure on St Josephs backline. Some good play from Parkvilles Cody Doyle set up Joe Smithers to shoot and forced St Josephs keeper to make a good save, resulting in a corner. Ryan Jennings crossed it in to find Dara Murphy who buried the ball in the goal to put the home side 1up.

St Josephs started to pass the ball well after this and with some good play down there right found Alex Reid who rifled a shot home to make it 1-1.

St Josephs were on top then and with some scrappy play from the home side St Josephs were awarded a free kick. Dan keogh took the free and from long range scored to make it 2-1 and that is how it finished.

Best for the home side were Odhran Byrne,Cody Doyle Denis Fitzgerald and Dara Murphy..

Kick off between Hanover Harps AFC and Parkville United AFC was bathed in very welcome Autumn sunshine following a very wet week. Parkville United were the best team in the first half of the game dominating in all areas of the field. The visiting side had a couple of very good chances in the half to put a score on the board with an excellent volley hitting the back of the Hanover Harps net only to be ruled off-side. However, it was Hanover Harps who scored first following a penalty score by Andrian Robu after Nathaniel Jakubiec was fouled in the box. Parkvillle United continued to play very well and the team were rewarded with a goal just before the end of the half to bring the game level.

After a lacklustre start from the home team, Hanover Harps went up a gear or two in the second half, fighting hard to take points away from the encounter. Like Parkville United in the first half the home-side had many scoring opportunities and were more comfortable on the ball. Owen Fitzharris finally broke the deadlock scoring from a well-judged cross in from Cian Howard on the right wing. A few more scoring opportunities were missed with the best chance of a third goal just skipping over the top of the goal following a header from Owen Fitzharris.

Hanover Harps were lucky to come away with the win following a great display of football by Parkville United. Best for Parkville United on the day were Bobby Cullen, Paidi Connolly and Thomas Doran.Players who stood out for Hanover were Nathan Walsh, Masfie Islam and Cian Howard.

First half was end-to-end action with five goals scored in under 25 minutes. Jack Corcoran fired Slaney in front with a close-range finish on 10 minutes. The lead was short lived as Parkville responded with a brace to lead 1-2 on 21 minutes, following a clever near post finish from Stefan Lazdins and Davy Brennan scoring direct from a free kick. Slaney then responded with two goals of their own, with a fine finish from Sean Barrett and Jack Corcoran scoring direct from a corner kick for 3-2 at half time. Midway into the second half, after Parkville hit the woodwork twice, Rory Doyle`s long range effort took a wicket deflection for 4-2, before Joe Waters reduced the arrears to 4-3. In the last five minutes Joe Kelly round off a fine individual performance with a late strike for 5-3 to reward the efforts of Kyle Byrne, Brian Whelan and Enda Byrne. Parkville were well served by Tommy Fitzgerald, Niall Byrne and Josh Fitzpatrick.

A Blustery morning in Parkville as they hosted Vale Wanderers for this 10 am kickoff.

Parkville were first of the mark after 5 mins when Adam Cleary got on the end of an over-the-top ball from Dean keogh in midfield, which Adam was quickest too, lobbing the keeper as he came out to collect.

Marcus Ragelis made it 2-0 after 25 minutes with a great individual piece of skill saw him riffle the ball past the keeper.

Start of the second half and Vale started to create more more chances. Eventually they would be rewarded after 60 minutes when an error in the defence saw Aidan Nolan get on the end of a cross and head the Ball home.

For the remainder of the game both teams had plenty of chances to score but both goalkeepers pulled off some great saves.

Final score Parkville 2 Vale 1.

Best for Vale word Jack Twomey,Noah Walsh, and Ciaran Nolan.

A good all-round team performance from Parkville.

Burrin Celtic continued their winning start to the season with a one goal victory over the home side. The game was nip and tuck throughout with very little separating the two sides. Parkville took the lead midway through the first half. Kacper Futoma picked up the ball on the right wing and sent in a dangerous cross to the edge of the box. The ball was flicked on by Joe Leacy and the onrushing Daniel Malinowski controlled smartly giving the Burrin keeper no chance. The visitors pressed for the equaliser and were rewarded with a brilliant low drive from outside the box which found it's way to the back of the Parkville net. The second half followed the pattern of the first half with both sides creating chances. Burrin Celtic however scored the decisive goal with 20 minutes of the second half played. Parkville pressed for the equaliser with Joe Leacy unlucky not to find the back of the net in the dying moments of the game.

Vale Wanderers proved too strong for the home side this afternoon with the final score ending 3- 1 to the visitors. Parkville struck first when Jack Kane added to his two goals this season. Jack whipped in a dangerous free kick which deflected into the Vale Wanderers goal. The lead however was short lived. Ethan Chambers got on the end of a clever pass from Conor Ryan and gave the Parkville keeper no chance. The second goal followed within a few minutes. Frankie Doyle broke in behind the Parkville defence and slotted the ball into the corner of the net, with Ethan Chambers once again involved in the build-up play with the assist. The third goal arrive courtesy of a in swinging corner which found its way to the back of the Parkville net. Parkville pressed hard in the final 10 minutes and were unlucky not to finish with more on the scoreboard. Best on the day for Vale were Ethan Chambers, Conor Corcoran and Conor Ryan. Parkville had several strong performances with the keeper in particular having a fine game despite the score line.

Nurney recorded their first win on home soil with a good win against a gritty Parkville side on home soil. The first half was tense and tight and it took 2 cracking goals from Conor Phelan and Adam jeffares to give them a cushion. Their advantage was halved when Adam Plonka nicked a good team goal to leave it 2 1 at the break. The visitors had chances in the 2nd half but good defending by Cameron Curran and Brandon Searson kept them at bay. Parkville dis win a penalty but unfortunately the well struck shot was drilled narrowly over the bar. Goalie Noah Doyle was further tested in the Nurney goal but was upto the test on multiple occasions. Nurney sealed the points with a breakaway goal that was finished by Cian Minchin to leave it 3 1 at the end. Alex Sutherland and Aden Dunker impressed also for a gallant Parkville side.

Second game into the league and St Annes and Parkville meet again,Annes were looking to take all 3 points again on this sunny morning and what a great start they had with a corner ball kicked in by Oisin Kelly to see a scramble in the box for Max O Connor to put it in the back of the net only a few minutes into the game. St Annes dominated the game and had serveral missed chances. But another corner ball kicked in again by Oisin kelly was scored by Emil. Logan Brennan made a great run to get a free kick where Oisin kelly narrowly missed and the parkville keeper pull off a good save. Half time came and parkville had be trying hard to get a foothold in the game but it finished half time 2 0 to St Annes. The second half started with Annes piling on more pressure to see a header coming from Roan Brennan to hit the back of the net. Parkville tried to rally but St Annes keeper played well and defence stood strong. Then it got worse for parkville when they got a player sent off with a straight red card due to a bad tackle. Annes done what they done best all game and focused on their soccer to see lovely ball going over the top to the waiting Dinh Kaye. Dinh hit the back of the net again only a few minutes later. Another great corner from Oisin kelly saw Aaron Owens get on the score sheet. The game ended 6 goals to 0 to St annes. Annes played fantastic from start to finish and could of put more goals on the scoresheet. Best for St Annes in were Alex Zigures in defence, Logan Brennan and Oisin Kelly who both had outstanding performaces in the middle of the field.

This match was played in Hawkins Lane under the watchful eye of Keeva Collins.

Another excellent performance by the Parkville boy's who seen them have a 2-0 win over Killeshin.

Parkville did not have it all their own way, they had to work hard in defence and midfield to prevent Killeshin getting through.

The first of the Parkville goals came from a pass from left back Ryan Watchorn straight to Tymek Plonka where he hit the back of the Killeshin net.

Just before the half time whistle Luke O"Connor seen his shot on goal rattle the Killeshin net once again.

The second half seen more of Killeshin dominating the game but failed to get the ball past Parkville's keeper Lorcan Cleary.

Overall a great performance by both teams.

Parkville and Ballymurphy served up an exciting match with plenty of goals in blustry conditions. Joe Leacy open the scoring early in the first half after a well timed through ball from Ryan Mulligan. The second goal was a carbon copy, this time Kacper Futoma turned provider with Joe Leacy once again providing the finish. To their credit Ballymurphy fought back with two goals to level the game. Both sides pressed for a winner but it was the home side who looked to have secured victory. Charlie Goss found space on the wing and beat the defender with some quick foot work and played a perfectly weighted pass to Joe Leacy. Leacy still had a lot of work to do but kept his nerve to beat the keeper in a one on one. Parkville looked to have won the 3 point but Ballymurphy to their credit never gave up and found the equaliser with the last kick of the game. The Ballymurphy goalscorers were Joshua Salway, Noah Fitzpatrick and Cian Moylan with strong performances from Joe Walsh, Rory Murphy John Joyce and Callum Kelly. Parkville had a number of players who had fine games but the standout was Joe Leacy who was unplayable on the day.

Ballymurphy Celtic Green proved too strong for the home side today netting 6 times in a dominant display. Goals were scored by Matthew Hayes, Sam Traynor, Cillian King, Danny Jordan and a brace by Rian Fitzpatrick. The visitors had a number of strong performances with Sam, Rian and Ruairi the standout players. Parkville went in at the break 4 down but improved in the second half and came close on a number of ocassions.

Visitors were first off the mark after 20 minutes. They would get in 2 more times before the first half was over making it 3 nil to the visitors at half-time.

The second half saw Parkville bring it back to 2-3 and all was to play for with 20 minutes to go. St.Pats however stepped up a gear and with every attacking chance made it count.

Game finished 7-2 to the visitors.
