It was a beautiful day for football down in The Meadows today and both teams didnt disappoint the small crowd at the game with some entertaining football.

It took a while for the deadlock to be broken in the first half and it came from the boot of Mark Buggy from the penalty spot after he was brought down.

HT 1-0

Second half was all Pat's and it didn't take long for Buggy to add a second and then very quickly a third to claim his hat-trick. Pat's dominated the game after that and were rewarded with an exceptional fourth, and goal of the game, by the boot of Shane Gurhy, who ran the second half.

Best for Pat's were MOTM Shane Gurhy, Mark Buggy and Matias Chamon.

But straight away Crettyard pulled one back with a great strike from Killen Gorman. That gave the Crettyard the momentum and a great through ball from Bobby Rowan to Patrick Fox and he made no mistake to leave it 2 2.Both sides had a couple of more chances but thats the way it finished. A very enjoyable match in Hawkins Lane today with a draw a fair result in the end.The home side started the brightest with Maria Healey and Adrian Plonka being denied by good goalkeeping and solid defending from St Pats. The visitors grew into the game and made the breakthrough thanks to a great strike from no 10 Arsene. It was all St Pats from then until the break and they doubled their lead, again Arsene on the mark. Parkville regrouped at the break and came out flying in the second half creating several chances but not able to convert. The pressure finally paid off half way through the half when Maria Healey finished off a good move from Adrian Plonka. With time running out Parkville levelled matters thanks to Adrian Plonka. Both sides had chances to win but both keepers were on form with Luke Denton making a fine late save for the Tullow side. Best for St Pats were Thomas Lawlor, Marcin Plaka, Summer Doorley and Darragh McDarby. Best for Parkville were Angie May Doran, Adrian Plonka Luke Monaghan and Tadg Nolan.

Nurney Villa AFC 4 - 3 St Patrick's Boys AFC
A titanic battle in wild conditions in Nurney saw the home side prevail in a 4 3 thriller thanks to a brilliant hat trick from Ben Kelly. The number 9 was a constant thorn in the gallant Pats side. The opening was bright with chances especially for Nurney but rhe couldn't convert. Their wasteful shooting was then punished in quick concession by 2 great break away goals by summer doorley and Jamie cooney to leave St pats up by 2 at the break. The home side played into a strong wind in the second half but Kelly took the first of his goals early on to give them Hope. With Liam Murphy and conor phelan beginning to boss the game more and Danny Murphy in defence, nurney began to create more and it wasn't long before Kelly got his 2nd to equalise. St pats though didn't lie down and Mikey hand and the impressive Thomas lawlor began to get really involved. This pressure saw marcin pawlak finish brilliantly to give them the lead again. Not done, nurney replied soon after with Liam Murphy on target following good work by tadhg Doyle and Brandon searson. There were chances at both ends before man of the match Ben Kelly completed his hat trick past the excellent St pats custodian Liam Moran. A thrilling game and one that both teams can take great heart from going forward.

Hanover applied more pressure and shots from TJ Brennan and Axel O Rock could not find the back of the net, which saw the half time whistle

St. Pats hosted Hanover on cold morning in Graiguecullen. The first 10 mins of the game both teams were trying to find their feet but it didn't take Hanover long after that to get a foothold on the game. There were very few chances in the 1st half but Hanover had more of the possession. Pats hit the crossbar with a great effort by Corie Purcel. But Hanover soon hit back with a goal before half time to leave the score 1-0 at the half time break.

The 2nd half was a different story and it was all Hanover with a very good team performance from them. Some excellent passing and a great display by their back 4. Sean Hayden caused St. Pats a lot of trouble and the Pats defence just couldn't contain him at all. Hanover went on to score 5 more in the second half with some very well taken goals.
