Ballymurphy took all three points in an entertaining game against Baltinglass this afternoon.

Bally dominated for long periods and controlled midfield with Tom Kehoe and Conor Walsh running the show. Balto stuck to their task and grew into the game. Ballys pressure finally told however and Toby Joyce gave them the lead just before half time with a well taken strike. HT 1-0.

Bally continued to dominate in thr second half and spurned a good few chances. Balto had chances of their own but Michael Murphy stood tall in the bally goal. Then with ten mins to go Darragh Coleman played in Conor Walsh who sped past two defenders before slotting the ball home and ensuring all 3 points.

Best for Bally were Tom Kehoe, Conor Walsh and Adam Joyce.

Baltinglass had a great overall team performance

A late Lachlann Smith goal gave Bally all three points in this entertaining fixture in Ballymurphy this morning. Bally started the stronger and took the lead on 5 mins through Darragh Coleman with a great finish. Nurney pulled their way back in the game with their front two causing all sorts of problems for the Bally back four. HT 1-0

The second half produced 4 goals and was a really enjoyable game to watch as both teams went at it hammer and thongs. Nurney equalised on 40 mins with a low driven free kick. Bally responded 5 mins later when a Jack Foley free kick caused all sorts of problems for the Nurney defence who inadvertently turned the ball into their own net for an OG. Nurney however dug in again and deservedly got their equaliser with 7 mins left with a great strike.

However, with only 3 mins left on the clock Lachlann Smith bursted through the Nurney defence and cooly slotted home to give all three points to the men in white and green.

Bally closed out the game and a last ditch tackle from Joey Dalton saved them in the dying seconds.

Best for Bally were Lachlann Smith, Joey Dalton and Tommy Malone.

Nurneys front two and their goal keeper had outstanding games.

Ballymurphys first U16 team were very unlucky not to take all three points this morning and lead for most of the game.

Bally started the better and had a few half chances before Tim Brennan opened the scoring on 20 mins with a well taken goal. Bally had further chances to go into the break further ahead but didn't take them. HT 1-0.

The second half was a different story with Burrin dominating the entire half and should have been level early into the half only for the goal to be disallowed. This spurred Burrin on and there relentless pressure finally paid off with just four minutes remaining on the clock when a cross was smashed home on the volley at the back post by Dylan O Reilly who’s powerful effort gave the keeper no chance. Burrin got the three points they deserved when Evan Corr scored in stoppage time with a free kick from outside the box

Best for Bally were Gavin Murphy, Lake Joyce and Tim Brennan.

Burrin had a great all round team performance

Hanover took all three points after a good performance against a strong Ballymurphy team in The Plots on Saturday morning.The home team were in front inside ten minutes when Dermot Lawlor struck high across the keeper into the top corner after cutting in from the wing.Ballymurphy were looking for the ball inside the defence and Ewan Breen in the home goal had to be alert on several occasions.The home team doubled their advantage when a Lawlor cross was met by Sean Hayden and his header left the keeper helpless.

Ballymurphy were unlucky when a Hanover defender cleared off the line and on the break the home team won a free kick just inside the opposition half.Bailee Cooney delivered an inch perfect ball onto the boot of Sam McHugh who finished on the volley from six yards.Half time 3-0 to the home team.The second half saw Hanover dominant most of the time but Ballymurphy still forced Ewan Breen into a couple of smart saves.Aaron Cunningham Burke hit the post before forcing one over the line to kill off the game midway through the half.Jason Dillon, Darragh Redmond and Daire Byrne were unlucky not to get on the score sheet as the game finished 4-0.Cody Molloy, Jack Woods,Ewan Breen and the excellent Dara Nolan were best for the home side.A good team performance from Ballymurphy.

Ballymurphys first ever U15 team got off to an ideal start for the season with a well deserved win over Vale Wanderers. Bally had a strong breeze at their backs for the first half and took full advantage as they went in 5-0 at HT leaving Vale to feed on scraps.

It was a different story in the second half with Vale dominating for most and pulled 1 goal back on 36 mins and it looked like a comeback was on. However Bally shored things up and ran out comfortable winners despite a late consolation on 60 mins.

Apart from the goal scorers Joey Dalton

James Lawlor and Mark Dundon stood out.

Vale had a good all round team performance

Ballymurphy got their season off to a great start at to Killeshin this morning in a sunny and picturesque Kilmison. Killeshin took the lead shortly on 25 min when Patrick Fitzgerald headed home a Callum O Regan corner.

Both teams were evenly match for the first 20 mins. Bally were awarded a penalty on 21 mins, Kian foley slotted home but the penalty had to be retaken due to an infringement. His second shot was brilliantly saved by Luke Hennessey in the Killeshin goal.. Bally remained on top until half time and were eventually rewarded with two kick fire goals from the sharp Kyle Nolan with two excellent finishes HT 2-0.

Killeshin started strong after the break and pulled a goal back on 48 mins. However this spurred Bally into life again and soon restored the 2 goal lead through Jack Joyce on 44 mins. Ruiri Murphy then settled the game as a spectacle with a contender for goal of the season on 54 mins and Murphy again on 57 mins rounded off a great game for the Bally boys.

Aside from the Goal scorers Best for Bally were Karl Lawlor, Ciaran O'Neill and Ryan King

Ballymurphy were deserving winners at Nurney, with a fine performance by all involved in an entertaining match by both sides, with plenty of goals!

Ballymurphy played against the strong breeze in the first half, but scored within the first minute, through a slick move and finish from Ruari Murphy. About 5 minutes later, a great run and cross from Callum Kavanagh led to Ian Cradock scoring a sweet volley from the edge of the box into the corner of the goal to make it 1-1. Nurney then also went very close from a corner, but Ballymurphy were the next to score, latching onto a ball into the box to slot home through Kyle Nolan, who then also added a third shortly afterwards. And so 'murphy went in 3-1 up at half time.

Both teams threatened in the second half, as both teams put in a determined effort. Alex Dreelin score 'murphy's 4th of the game, but straight from the kick-off, Ian Cradock went past several players to smash home, and pull a goal back for Nurney.

However, Ruairi Murphy added on a fifth for Ballymurphy to kill off the game, with Ian Cradock again responding with a great effort for Nurney. However, Kyle Nolan also completed his hat-trick a few minutes later, and Eoin Hayes scored a long-range free kick for Ballymurphy right at the death, to complete the 7-3 win for them.

Best for Ballymurphy were their scorers, and also Jack Joyce and Dillon Doyle.

Best for Nurney were Ian Cradock, Callum Kavanagh and Kerry Phelan.

An exciting start to the game this afternoon in Nurney. Both teams playing at an intense pace. Nurney Villa kept the pressure on Ballymurphy all through the first half and had some chances but could not get it across the line. Half time score 0-0.

Unfortunately Nurney had no fresh legs to make a change in the second half. Ballymurphy got a goal a few minutes into the second half and from then on 5 more goals came in quick succession for Ballymurphy. Goal scorers where Shane Jordan who scored 2, Toby Joyce, Joey White, Tom Kehoe, Noel Jordan. Best for Ballymurphy Noel Jordan, Conor Hickey, Adam Joyce.

Best for Nurney - Holly Ryan, Kelly Tobin, Ellen Barrett, Eve Kearney and Roisin Murphy

A wet and windy parkmore saw a good game between 2 evenly matched teams,the game started with both teams attacking and defending superbly and both had chances to score,ballymurphy were awarded a penalty midway through the first half but balto keeper steven Patterson saved superbly,balto had their own chances through Christopher OToole but was denied by fine keeping,on the stroke of half time ballymurphy got their goal with some good build up play ht 0v1 second half was like the first with both teams creating chances but with no subs available to balto the fatigue set un and ballymurphy got their second,fair play to the balto lads they never gave up and pushed till the final whistle and had a couple of chances through Christopher OToole and rian kinsella ft 0v2

Under 13 Shield div 2. Ballymurphy Celtic versus Nurney Villa 10.00.

Nurney played with the wind in 1st half and went 1 up after 15 minutes when Ian Craddick beat a couple of defenders to shoot past Eoin Doyle in Ballymurphy goal.

It remained that way until half time.

With the aid of the strong wind in the 2nd half Ballymurphy pinned Nurney back in their own half. Kyle Nolan had the teams level when he chipped Kyle Clarke in the Nurney goal on 40 mins. Nolan again had the ball in the net pin 45 after good build up play from Ruairi Murphy and Kian Foley. Sean Grennan on as a sub made it 3-1 on 50 mins. Kyle Nolan finished the Bally scoring on 52. Ian Craddick had three final say with a good individual goal on 55.

For Nurney Craddick, Kyle Clarke in the goal and Dean O Reilly played well.

Fire Ballymurphy Eoin Doyle, Eoin Hayes and Callum Jordan were best.

With a strong wind in their back, Parkville started off the better with a goal by Marcus Ragelis after 4 minutes. Parkville kept the pressure on the Ballymurphy defence with their keeper making some great 1v1 saves. Niall Delaney getting Parkville’s second on 18 minutes when a corner from Adam Cleary made its way through the box to the back post where Delaney was waiting. Ragelis must a chance to double his tally when his penalty was saved just before half time.

Second half was a bit more open with plenty of action at both ends of the field. Ballymurphy were rewarded when Parkville failed to deal with a corner which Ballymurphy tucked away after 40 minutes. Parkville had more chances but the Ballymurphy keeper was in fine form. Ballymurphy got their rewards when a penalty was given with 5 minutes to go, which they converted. 2-2 was the final score.

Best for Parkville we’re Adam Cleary, Kristers Laudupa and Marcus Ragelis.

A good all round performance by Ballymurphy Celtic.

Bally started really well and went ahead on 8 mins through Toby Joyce. Joyce grabbed his second on 12 after s great ball from Conor Walsh and then completed his hat trick on 16 when he headed home a Darragh Coleman cross. Noel Jordan made it 4 on 23 with a great left footed shot and Joyce got his 4th on 30 mins with another great finish. Ht 5-0.

Bally came out strong again in the second half and James Flood made it 6 -0 on 35 mins. Adam Joyce them side footed home on 43 mins following great work from Jake Fitzpatrick and Toby Joyce grabbed his fifth on 56 mins to round off the scoring.

Best for Bally were Toby Joyce, Tom Kehoe and Michael Murphy

For Pat's every player tried their best with Maksym Gorczya outstanding in goal.

Bally took control of this game early and after a couple of missed chances, Tom Kehoe took the game by the scruff of the neck and his mazy run beating 4 defenders before slotting home on 12 mins. Bally really should have been further ahead at HT only for some brilliant goal keeping for the Burrin keeper. HT 1-0.

Bally upped a gear in the second half and played much better with Shane Jordan grabbing a brace on 34 and 37 before Noel Jordan produced another brilliant free kick on 56 mins. Michael Murphy ended the scoring on 59 mins with a cool finish. Best for Bally were Darragh Coleman, Rachel Martin and Mikala Kelly. For Burrin Grace Kennedy, Ella Dowling and Mollie Maher excelled

Another slow start from the Bally boys saw them 1-0 after ten mins, however they steadied the ship and a hat trick from the deadly Kyle Nolan on 12, 23 and 30 saw them go in 3-1 at the break.

Slaney pushed hard in the second half and were rewarded with a well taken goal on 35 mins to reduce the arrears to 3-2. However Bally then stepped up another gear and an Alex Dreelin side footer made it 4-2 on 50 mins and Dylan Doyle's neat finish completed the scoring on 57 mins.

Best for Kyle Nolan, Kian Foley and Ryan King.

A game of two halves.

Burrin Celtic started on fire and were 3 -0 up after 15 mins with some devastating finishing in a great team performance. They held that lead until half time with Bally still in shock.

The second half was a complete turnaround with whatever the Bally managers said at half time worked a treat. Kyle Nolan scored all 4 goals for Bally on 33, 36 Neat finish 45 Header, 52 Volley and he got the vital winning goal on 56 mins after super play from Ruiri Murphy. Bally also missed a penalty and had a goal ruled out for offside so were well worth the three points in the end.

Best for Bally were Eoin Hayes, Karl Lawlor and the outstanding Kyle Nolan

A cracking game between two good sides in very stormy conditions under the Blackstairs.

Fiaccs started better and were 1 nil up after 6 mins. Bally equalised on 15 through a great solo goal from Conor Walsh. Fiaccs went 2 to 1 up on the stroke of half time to make it 1-2 HT.

Fiaccs extended the lead on 35 mins and looked to have sealed the points. However Bally fought back and with 10 mins to go Tom Kehoe fired a low shot to make it 2-3. Then with 4 mins to go Noel Jordan scored a trademark free kick to thr top corner to level it up at 3-3.

Best for Ballymurphy Conor Walsh, Tom Kehoe and Rachel Martin

For Fiaccs Mikey Whelan, Zac Hernan and Orla Keating stood out

A brilliant game ,between two evenly matched sides in harsh conditions,ended with Ballymurphy edging St Annes by the odd goal in three.

The away side scored in the 15th and 20th minute against a strong wind to lead 2 zero.

A wonder goal by Ryan Harris in the 22nd minute had the home side right back in it.

No further scoring in the second half despite some great attacking play by both sides.

Brilliant displays from Annes John Julian, Dihn Kaye, Eoin Kelly ,Ryan Morgan and Myles Nelligan.

Great advert for under age football.

Parkville Utd 7 - 2 Ballymurphy Celtic.

On a nice afternoon in Hawkins Lane this top of the table clash started at a very fast pace with Ballymurphy Celtic putting The Parkville defence under pressure. Parkville weathered the storm and took lead through Taghd Hennessy after hitting Ballymurphy on the break. Parkville extended their lead soon after when Bradley Cummins headed home from a comer. It became 3 nil shortly after when goalkeeper Fergal O Toole played a long ball over the top which Fiach Byrne chased down and finished neatly into the bottom corner. Bradley Cummins added his second after a great build up and some lovely dribbling. Fiach Byrne added his second soon after and just on half time it was 6 when Fiach Byrne grabbed his hat trick with a fine finish into the top corner.

It was different game in the second half and Ballymurphy piled on the pressure with Parkville finding it very hard to get out of their own half. Ballymurphy were awarded a penalty and were unlucky to see it come back of the cross bar.

Ballymurphys efforts were rewarded when striker Conor Walsh finished from close range. Ballymurphy were awarded a second penalty but were denied by a great save from Fergal O Toole diving low to his left hand side.

Parkville made it 7 when Oliver Dyl finished from close range getting on the end of a defence splitting pass by Luke Evans. With almost the last kick of the game Conor Walsh grabbed his 2nd of the match.

Good all round team performance from Parkville with each player making an important contribution. Best the day for Ballymurphy were Adam Joyce, Tom Keogh. Shane Jordan and goal scorer Conor Walsh.

Ballymurphy 3-5 St Fiaccs

Three goals in the first 8 mins Shane Atkinson made the gap too much for the Bally boys to claw back in a cracker of a game.

Bally fought back before the break with two goals from Kyle Nolan and Ryan King to make it 2 - 3 HT.

Fiaccs went 4 - 2 up through Zak Hernon on 45 mins but Bally found another on 50 through Kyle Nolan again to set up a grand stand finish but with time running out Ruiri murphy rattled the post for Bally and from the rebound Fiaccs broke up the pitch with an excellent shot from Jan Feltjer to seal the win 5-3.

Best for Bally Kyle Nolan, Dylan Doyle and Ruiri Murphy

Best for Fiaccs were their 3 goals scorers.

The match started with both teams playing good football. Both teams had half chances but then on 15 minutes Connor Walsh broke the offside and scored. Then with Burrin pushing for a equaliser ballymurphy scored again with Tom Keogh scoring a great individual goal. Then Burrin Celtic came back and leah fitzpatrick scoring a great goal herself to make it 1-2 at half time.

The second half both teams had good chances only for the keepers to keep them in the game. The final score was Burrin Celtic 1 - 2 Ballymurphy celtic.

It was a great team effort from both teams.
