Hanover Harps AFC v Ballymurphy Celtic FC
U16 league 04/12 10:00
Hanover Harps AFC 8 - 0 Ballymurphy Celtic FC

Hanover Harps 8 v 0 Ballymurphy Celtic

Hanover took the points this morning on a fine morning in the plots.  Hanover took the lead when Joel Abu slid Roland Sanni nicely through to finish smartly to the corner. Their lead was doubled when Roland Sanni won possession from a Ballymurphy defender and rounded the impressive Ballymurphy keeper to finish. A great passing move between Senan Ryan and Jamie Coakley provided Hanover with their third, this time Mikel with the neat finish.  A string of excellent saves by the Ballymurphy keeper and some wasteful finishing kept the score to 3 v 0 at half time.

Ballymurphy were restricted to a few attacks on the counter which the Hanover defence dealt with comfortably. Mikel got Hanover’s fourth early in the second half when latching on to a cross by Senan Ryan. A fifth came when Mikel aka Magic Mike went on one of his now trademark solo run runs before dinking over the keeper. Joel Abu scored a sixth with a powerful strike after a nice piece of skill to beat his defender. Mikel scored a 7th and 8th for Hanover, one another mazy dribble after a one two with Senan Ryan, the other a left footed half volley from the edge of the box to round off a great individual performance.

A strong performance by Hanover again depleted by other dominant sports commitments with Jomilio Salvador, Jamie Coakley and Daniel Whelan prominent.

Ballymurphy had good performers in Lachlan Smith, Jack Foley and the busy goalkeeper.

u15 SFAI 04/12 12:00
Bagenalstown AFC 3 - 0 Deen Celtic

Bagenalstown hosted Dean Celtic in the 3rd of the SFAI Cup on a lovely bright morning.

From the tip off Bagenalstown were pressing every ball and winning possession and pushing forward. They were looking for an early break through and it came after 10 minutes with some great running up the right wing from James Brennan who pulled a ball across the box which was put away powerfully by Ian Craddock.

Dean Celtic started to come into the game more and more but some great defending and good offside traps by the back four of Luke McGrath, Filip Kaczmarkiewicz, Alan Wall and Eric Williams kept Bagenalstowns lead.

Bagenalstown were looking for the 2nd and pushed forward with ever opportunity and in the 27th minute they won a penalty after after Adam Walsh was brought down and John Lillis stepped up and up the keeper the wrong way. As halftime approached Bagenalstown pressed on with Daniel Whelan running at the Dean Celtic defence but some last ditch defending kept the score 2-0 at halftime.

Dean Celtic pushed on with the wind in their backs and tested Kyle Clarke in the Bagenalstown goal a few times but he was well up to the task. Bagenalstown took control of the midfield with strong play from Ian Craddock, Jack Keogh and James Cushion supplying some good ball into John O'Reirdon

Bagenalstown were on the hunt for the 3rd and with 8 minutes to go Adam Walsh got first to a lose ball to put it away and game over at 3-0. Bagenalstown brought on Samuel Griffith and Paddy O'Neill to see the last few minutes out.
