St Anne's hosted Crettyyard this morning in Baltic conditions. Both teams started well and all seemed even for the first 20 minutes. Crettyyard pushed forward on the attack with a great run from their left winger, Anne's defended well and put it out for a corner. The corner was very well taken but St Anne's defence had a bit of a scramble in the box which led to Crettyyards 1st goal. St Anne's kept the pressure on Crettyyards defence but couldn't seem to get it passed their strong number 4. With 5 minutes to go in the 1st half St Anne's Will Duffy intercepted on Crettyyards attack, looked up and cleared the ball to Ryan Morgan who took on player's on the right wing and crossed it into Roan Brennan who put it passed the Crettyards keeper to make it 1-1 going into the 2nd half.
St Anne's kept the pressure on Crettyyard in the 1st 10 minutes in the second half, Roan Brennan went on a great run going around Crettyyards defence and got taken down in the box, which lead to a penalty for St Anne's and with a very well taken penalty by Roan Brennan it put St Anne's going 2-1 ahead.
Crettyyard came back out fighting and created a lot of pressure on St Anne's defence, who had cleared the ball out for a corner. Crettyyard took a super corner kick which lead to Crettyyards 2nd goal to bring it back level. It looked like it was going to end 2-2 but Crettyyard gave it one last push and caught St Anne's defence out and Crettyyard took advantage of the open space and put it into the back of Anne's net.
