Burrin pull away in second half
U13 div 1 28/03 18:45
Ballymurphy Celtic 0 - 5 Burrin Celtic AFC
Burrin took all three points again a strangely lacklustre Ballymurphy.Burrin started on the front foot and had plenty of the ball and we’re playing nice football. They took the lead in the 15th minute through Bill Roberts after he got on the end of a good through ball and gave the keeper no chance from 8yards.Burrin continued pressed hard and scored a second as an unmarked Bobby Finn headed in a Robbie Kelleher corner from 10 yards out.The second half was continued in the same vein with Burrin pressing hard and keeping the home keeper they got a third goal through a super free kick from Bobby Finn 20 yards from goal. The home keeper produced several top class saved but Burrin scored a fourth as Bobby Finn finished well from 15 yards. They wrapped up the scoring through Robbie Kelleher in the 53rd min.Bally pushed hard in the remaining mins but had no worthwhile efforts on Goal. For Ballymurphy Oisin Fogarty was excellent also Jack Ivers and Charlie Foley played well, for Burrin it would be unfair to pick anyone out as it was a fantastic team effort.

Parkville United AFC v Nurney Villa AFC
U12 Div 1 29/03 18:45
Parkville United AFC 2 - 1 Nurney Villa AFC
Parkville held out for a one goal win at home to Nurney in this competitive fixture. The hosts started brightly and created several half chances in the opening few minutes. The early pressure paid dividends with Parkville opening the scoring within the first 10 minutes. Kacper Futoma picked up a lose ball in midfield and found James Broughan in some space, his first time pass through the middle released Joe Leacy who fired home from the edge of the box. Parkville continued to press for the second goal with Liam Brennan and Daniel Malinowski a constant threat on the left had side. It was no surprise then that the second goal started from some quick passing between Brennan and Malinowski, their hard work allowed Ryan Mulligan time on the ball to pick out John Nolan at centre forward. Nolan controlled the ball expertly and teed up Kacper Futoma just inside the box. Futoma placed his shot to the far corner giving the Nurney keeper no chance. Parkville, not satisfied with a two goal lead, continued to press the visitors with Tadhg Dempsey coming close to adding a third goal only to be denied by a great save. As the half progressed Nurney began to play themselves into the game and came close to reducing the lead on a number of occasions. The second half was a tighter affair with both sides enjoying dominant spells. With less than 10 minutes remaining Nurney gave themselves a lifeline courtesy of a fine finish by Fin Lawlor. This goal lifted Nurney who finished the game strongly with Oliver Hughes and Declan Kearney in particular testing the Parkville defence. Parkville held there nerve to see out the game and secure the three points. Best for Nurney on the day were Oliver Hughes, Declan Kearney and Andrew Farrell.

Home win for Crettyard
U12 Div 2 29/03 18:45
Crettyard United AFC 2 - 1 St Fiacc's AFC
Crettyard and St fiacc's played one of the games of the season this evening. The game was end to end from start to finish and some excellent soccer on show. Crettyard had the opening chances but St fiacc's defended unreal. Then they almost caught Crettyard on the break but for excellent defended from Crettyard themselves. Then just on halftime Crettyard finally broke the dead lock when Adam Rowan delivered a ball into Eoin dowling and he put it away lovely. The second half was end to end again and fiacc's were really causing problems for Crettyard, but they weathered it well and went 2-0 up when Eoin dowling scored his second with the cross coming from Dan Curran. This didn't stop St fiacc's tho and when Dylan Doyle crossed in a perfect ball Felipe stuck it in the back of the net to set up a great final 5 minutes. Crettyard defended so well with Harry Gorman, sean knowles and darragh Curran and held on for the win. Best for St fiacc's were Jack scully, Gabriel witaszek and max minnock. Adam Rowan played his captains role again with a super display for Crettyard, along with finn Kelly and Mia Kearney.

Hanover Harps AFC v New Oak Boys AFC
U13 div 1 28/03 18:45
Hanover Harps AFC 1 - 2 New Oak Boys AFC

Hanover Harps took on league leaders New Oak at home for a hotly contested game of football on a cool spring evening. A few short minutes after the first whistle the homeside were first to score with Nathan Walsh scoring from a fantastic free kick which deflected off the crossbar and into the New Oak goal. Hanover were unlucky not to get a second goal in the half when another free kick taken by Charlie McHugh went just a couple of inches over the visitors crossbar. New Oak had their own chances in the first half and were unlucky not to score in the 20th minute with the ball ping ponging at the front of the Hanover goal with the ball finally being booted over the crossbar.

Both teams started off strong in the second half with though battles throughout the field. The visitors pushed hard and were rewarded on the 40th miunute with their first goal. New Oaks second goal came about 5 miutes after from a corner that was tapped in. Hanover fought hard to score an equaliser and had some good opportunities that just did not go to foot. A disappointing result for Hanover to lose by the smallest of margins but they can be proud of the team performance.

2-1 win to New Oak.

Best for Hanover were

Senan Sheehan

Hanover Harps AFC 1 - 0 St Patrick's Boys AFC

Hanover Harps division 2 team welcomed St Pats Boys to The Plots in the first of our mid-week fixtures. It was an amazing game played tonight by two teams that were taking no prisoners. Both teams had their chances but the goal that won it was an amazing header on the 4th minute by Alex Broderick from a fantastic corner taken By Tire Adeleye.

A special mention to our Captain Fantastic Joe Dermody who really took the lead on the night.

It was an overall good performance from St Pats Boys.

Parkville United AFC v St Joseph's AFC
U13 Div 2 25/03 11:00
Parkville United AFC 2 - 1 St Joseph's AFC

Parkville started brightly but after some good St. Joseph's play they took the lead in the 8th min.

They nearly doubled their lead but for a great save from Bradley Stynes in the parkville goal, this inspired Parkville who started to come back into the game with some good play from Ryan Jennings, Dara Murphy and Jordi Coughlin.

With half time approaching James Broughan supplied a lovely cross in for Cody Doyle to equalised with his head.

Parkville started the 2nd half as they finished the 1st half with great play down the line. On one of these plays Oliwia Zaborniak won a corner that was converted to the back of the net by Donnacha Myres.

St. Joe's fought back for an equaliser but the Parkville defence of Dennis Fitzgerald, Joe Smithers, Orhran Byrne and Orhran Murphy came into their own and clear everything that came their way.

In the dying minutes one final chance fell to Parkville after a great through ball from Max O Donohoe who put Cody Doyle in. Dolye was fouled just outside the box and the resulting free kick was put narrowly wide by James Broughan.

That was the end of the action and Parkville held on for their 1st win of the season.

A great team performance.

St Kevins Boys Dublin v St Patrick's Boys AFC
25/03 13:00
St Kevins Boys Dublin 1 - 2 St Patrick's Boys AFC

St. Pats U15 march on to the quarter-finals of the SFAI Trophy after securing a hard-fought 2-1 win in extra time against St. Kevin's. In the initial stages of the match, St. Kevin's dominated possession and created a number of chances, with Luke Dooley making a fantastic save to prevent St. Pats from going behind. However, Pats dug deep and gradually took control of the midfield, thanks to the efforts of Mark Buggy.

Despite having a number of opportunities to score, Pats found it difficult to break down a resolute St. Kevin's defense, and it was only towards the end of the first half that they finally managed to find the back of the net, with Kacper Zarzycki putting them 1-0 up at halftime.

In the second half, Pats continued to dominate but were unable to convert their chances, and St. Kevin's gradually began to find their way back into the game, eventually equalizing to make it 1-1. The match remained level at full-time, leading to extra time.

Both sides had their chances in extra time, but Pats looked the more likely to score, and with just three minutes left before penalties, Mark Buggy produced a moment of magic to score the winning goal and send Pats through to the next round. The match ended 2-1 in Pats' favor, and their victory was well-deserved. Standout performers for Pat's included Ruari McEvoy, Mark Buggy, and Dawid Jarmakow.

St Patrick's Boys AFC 4 - 1 Slaney Rovers AFC

This was a game played under cold but sunny condition on St. Patrick's Boys AFC Astro. This was a game that both sides had to win.

Both teams started well with St. Pat's creating some great chances. St. Pat's scored 1st through Andrew Monteiro about 15 minutes jnto the first half. Despite some impressive defending Andrew scored his second just before the end of the half.

St. Pat's started the second half well and within a few minutes of the start John Hendricken scored a scracker of a goal after some fine footwork to get jim in a position to shoot.

Against the run of play Slaney scored an excellent goal.

Pat's put the game to bed with a fourth goal from Danny Serafin.

Despite constant pressure and many shots on goal St. Pat's were unable to break through a solid Slaney defence.

A good result for St. Pat's. No man of the match as a great overall team performance from 1 to 16.
